"Contigo Quiero Estar" (English: With You, I Want To Be) is a song by Mexican-American Tejano pop singer Selena from her first studio album, Selena (1989). Written and produced by Alejandro Montealegre,[1] A.B. Quintanilla III, Abraham Quintanilla Jr, and Jose Behar, the track was released as the album's first single. It was solicited to U.S. Latin, Tejano, and Mexican border radio during the summer of 1989. "Contigo Quiero Estar" is known for its Tejano old school rhythm and blues, and message. The song reached number eight on the Billboard Hot Latin Tracks chart. It was Selena's first single from EMI Records.
